Description
The double warp fabric technique is really time-intensive and difficult. Nowadays only a few weavers in region of Podlasie are still able to make it. Fabric entitled “Wies [the village]”was made by Mrs. Ludgarda Sienko.
Said work stands out because of its unusually complicated pattern which is tightly filling the space. Most often ideas for new double warp fabrics arise in weavers mind’s eye. Artists very rarely use prepared designs.
